We're Home!

As fun as vacation is, there's just something so wonderful about coming home. Especially when it means I get to see my honey again! :)
Dixie and I had a fun time in Utah at my Sister's Retreat. We got to do some fun things, but the best is just being able to spend time with family, chatting. And although by the end of the week we all seemed to agree that maybe this is something best left until the kiddos are older, I love being able to bond with my sisters, sisters-in-law, and mom. Thanks to Ang for hosting again! It was a wonderful time.
Among the fun things we were able to do... we went to the LDS Church History Museum (where my time was spent not in learning about cool LDS history, but in chasing Dixie), going to hang out on BYU campus (where my time was spent not in doing fun shopping in the bookstore, but in chasing Dixie), and going to a family fun center type place called Boondocks (where my time was spent... chasing Dixie). :) Anyone notice a pattern here?? :) But I did actually get to enjoy some of it. I loved being on BYU campus! I tried to go check out the Intramural office and say hi to Phil (my old boss from when I worked there), but as luck would have it, the week we were there they changed their office hours to close at 2pm and I got there at 2:45pm. AAaagh! That was a truly sad moment... But not HALF as sad as when I realized that the Tanner Building was under reconstruction (the only building with an elevator from the lower half of the campus to the upper half of campus) and that I would now have to push Dixie in the stroller up the BIG hill in the HOT weather to get up to the bookstore! Now THAT was a sad moment. :) Okay, and we did have a lot of fun at Boondocks, too. Granted, Dixie was too small to actually play any of the games, but she did have a blast running around and touching all the flashing lights on everything (plus we saved a bunch of $$ by not playing games!) :) But it was fun and that's where we got these super cute pictures taken in one of those little photo booths. $2 well spent! :) All in all, it was a great time and I look forward to seeing the family again in November! (Especially because I'll have my hubby there this time to help me chase that little one around!) :) Loves to everyone!

Its about time, girlfriend. I was almost sending out the blogging Search and Rescue. Sounds like a normal vacation...lots of fun, little sleep, not a real breather for a mom...but worth it nontheless. That's an awesome tradition to have with you girlies.
Nice to have you back in TX. Did you head to Janene's wedding??

Way cute pictures! You haven't changed a bit. I love that Dixie doesn't quite get what is going on.

Our whole lives revolve around the kids these days and it's funny how I am soooo used to it now. Life will change in the next five years and I will wish I was back to the chasing days - I just know it!!!!
PS - How are you feeling?
