8 Months Old. Wow. The time is just going by so fast! It hardly feels like you're my little baby anymore! Granted, you will ALWAYS be my baby, but you're growing so quickly. It is so much fun to see how you're expanding your world each day. You are so anxious to explore that you can hardly stand the fact that you can't crawl around to go see everything yet. You're getting very close though! You can make it into a crawling position, only to topple over before you can make your first move. Sometimes it makes you rather frustrated. :) However, you have finally started rolling over this month (!!), so sometimes you can move yourself around that way. Although, you still rarely do it since you absolutely hate to be left on your tummy... and that's where rolling over gets you. :)
You have also taken a liking to exploring your food. I cannot turn my back without you trying to grab at your bowl of cereal or fruits/veggies. Heck, I don't even have to have my back turned! You are frequently trying to steal the bowl or spoon out of my hands! (And may I say that you have quite the strong grip for a baby!) :) You still love your food and will eat basically anything I give you, but fruits have definitely become more of your favorite. Oh, and yogurt too. We started feeding you that this month as well. :) But I'm just grateful that feeding time isn't a major drama.
What else? You're still as happy and smiley as ever. Oh, and your second tooth came in on the bottom as well. You have an absolutely precious toothy grin.
You still love to squawk and squeal at the top of your lungs.
You are so good at taking your naps. I just lay you down in the crib and you will rarely fuss about it. You just turn your head and drift off to sleep. And the same goes for bed time. That is always such a nice treat!
Oh, and you're starting to take offense when someone (namely Dixie) takes a toy away from you. You're definitely starting to claim your territory. And the reverse holds true as well. Dixie gets upset when you try to grab and steal her toy away too. (Which you like to do more and more.) :) Daddy and I sure hope you two will get along as you grow. You're both so darn cute! :)
Well, my precious little one, you continue to fill our hearts with joy and cheer and our family is so grateful that you are here.
