Changes

It feels like ever since Christmas our life has been full of changes. I can actually only think of two... well, three... but that doesn't seem like a lot when I say it out loud. But they're kind of big changes that have taken a lot of time and effort, so maybe that's why it seems like life is in such constant limbo around here, especially when you throw in a bunch of little changes as well. There have been some sad good-byes and happy hellos. Change is good and refreshing, but I'm also always sad to lose what once was.

In January, we said 'good-bye' to the girls beds... (*sniffle!*)
 {Summer was just getting too big for this little crib}

And we said 'hello' to bunk beds!

We snagged these babies off of Craigslist and L.O.V.E. them! As noted in the first picture, there was a bit of drama over who was going to get the 'top bunk'. But Summer is just not old enough and moves around too much in her sleep for us to be comfortable with her up there, so there wasn't really much of a decision there. We just tried to console her with the fact that she was getting the 'bigger' bed. :) Anyway, the girls are still friends and it is only occasionally an issue now. :)

And this past weekend we said 'so long' to Jim's dear Dodge...

...and are actually still waiting for a replacement to say 'hello' too! :)
We've had this truck for pretty much the whole time we've been married (we got it one month after). So it's basically been part of the family. But it was getting way up there in miles and starting to have some problems, so it was time to say good-bye. (*double sniffle*)
So for now we are a one-vehicle family and it's definitely taking a toll! :) jk... it's really not that bad... Unless I have a dr. appointment to go to and no way to get there. Then it suddenly becomes an issue. So yes. We're definitely on the hunt for a new addition to the family.

And speaking of dr. appointments and additions to the family, the final big change is Baby #3 that is due to arrive in just over 6 weeks! AAAAACK! Where has the time gone??! I cannot believe we're that close! (Although my belly would say otherwise!) :) We're so excited to be welcoming Baby Austin in just a short while and have been making lots of little changes in preparation for that big event. The nursery is slowly turning 'boy' (we're doing a football theme... pictures to come... someday!), baby equipment is getting prepped and revamped, and life is just starting to include this little guy more and more each day. The girls regularly kiss my belly and give Baby Austin 'snuggles', Summer already likes to blame him for when she's having a bad day (heaven help me!), and they're absolutely convinced that he's the cutest baby ever. :) Too funny.

So anyway, we're happy for all the changes we've been enjoying and look forward to more fun ones to come. :) Hope you are too!
