Harvesting Carrots

Conference weekend was time to pull up the Winter garden and start planting our Spring garden. Dixie helped Daddy pull up the carrots.

We were totally stoked to have actually grown carrots this year. It's the first year we've had any success with them. We used a half-long variety, so they were short, but still fun and tasty. I definitely liked the taste better after they'd been peeled though... and that was quite the long and boring process-- peeling a bunch of little 2-3 inch long carrots. Sheesh. But worth it in the end. :)
