Our family, somewhat unintentionally (at first), ended up with a 'Garden' theme for costumes this year for Halloween. Dixie wanted to be a butterfly, Summer (after going back and forth a gazillion times between every costume in the book) finally decided on a bee, and realizing these were both garden characters, I figured I'd make Austin into something easy and garden-esque like a skunk. Dixie changed her mind in the final days and wanted to be a princess... with wings... so we decided she could be a fairy princess and still keep a garden theme going (you know... since fairies live in the garden, right??). And then I saw a super cute idea online that I could use for Austin and me and changed my plans there as well. And then on the very last day, we came up with a fun idea for Jim too...
Anyway, this is what we ended up with...
DiXiE: The Fairy Princess
SuMmeR: The Sweet Bee
{or maybe crazy would be the better term??} :)
(This girl CRACKS me up!)
AuStiN & MoMmy: The Spider & His Web
And Daddy was... {wait for it}... The GaRdeN FloWeR!
(And yes... he went willingly!) :)
He was the perfect compliment to Summer's Bee. :)
The girls had a blast going both Trunk-or-Treating at the church (the night before Halloween) and Trick-or-Treating around the neighborhood Halloween night. {And the sugar high hasn't ended since!} :)
And Austin sure enjoyed digging in as well :)

I'm so glad that my baby isn't the only one addicted to candy;) And so cute. And Jim should not be embarrassed at all. If I can get a picture of it I'll put up what Lance was for Halloween. Way worse. Haha.
So cute!
