Finally Four!

Summer is so happy to finally be four! Although now she's already counting down to turning 5 so she can go to school like Dixie. It's so hard to be the younger sister. :) Sometimes it amazes me how much this little girl is so much like her Mommy. :)

So, for her birthday, I asked her if she would like a party with her friends or a party at home with just her family. She said at home with her family. So we had a family party at home. Nice and easy.

I asked her what she wanted for her birthday dinner. She said pizza (of course). I asked if she wanted it from the store or homemade. She chose homemade. So we had homemade pizza for dinner. Nice and inexpensive and easy.

I asked her what kind of cake she wanted, and after going through several ideas she finally settled on just wanting cupcakes. So we had pink cupcakes with chocolate chips and yummy yellow frosting. Nice and easy.

I decided to take the cupcake idea and turn it into a loose theme for our family party. So once Daddy got home, we had our pizza dinner, then played 'Pin the Candle on the Cupcake', opened presents, colored a fun cupcake picture, and then of course ate cupcakes. :) Nice and low key and easy. :)

Love this cute girl. :)

{"I'm so glad I'm finally four!"}

A few Summer favorites, per Summer Anne...

Color: Pink
Breakfast Food: She said waffles, but it's really pancakes
Dinner Food: Pizza
Stuffed Animal: "That's easy! Piiiiink Teddy!" (her pink teddy bear)
Movie: She said "Mystery Snoopy" (Charlie Brown) but I think that's just because it was the last movie she watched :)
TV Show: Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood
What Do You Want To Be?:  "A Mommy. But can I be a grown-up first?" Good idea, sweetie. Good idea.

Our little girl is getting so big. She's thrilled to finally get to be a Sunbeam in Primary.
She learned how to ride a bike with training wheels (something she's been very cautious about trying before) and will go on bike rides around the neighborhood on it now.
She's learning to be more in control of her anger towards her family (lol) and is really becoming so sweet all around.
She's still very shy in public and loves to just do things behind the scenes. She doesn't like to be the center of any public attention, but loves to be silly and funny at home.
She's such a polite child and {almost} always remembers her "please" and "thank yous", "yes sir", "no ma'am", and all those polite sayings.
Her prayers seem to have evolved overnight from being the same two things over and over (the food and the rain) to suddenly being real thought out prayers (that are super sweet and thoughtful, I might add).
She loves Dixie and follows her around like a little lost puppy. She is very much Dixie's shadow. :) If both girls have to make a decision, she wants to know what Dixie's decision is first. If just she has to decide something, she wants to know Dixie's opinion on the matter. It's really sweet how much she looks up to her big sister. :)
She loves her family so much and we just absolutely love her too!

Happy 4th Birthday Summer!

Way CUTE!! That's funny that she is already talking about being five. Brielle did that on her birthday too! I wish they could just stay little. We miss you guys!
