On Monday, we carved pumpkins for FHE. I'm all about the cute and simple designs. Jim, on the other hand, thoroughly enjoys the complex ones. Can you tell who his pumpkin is? (I'll give the answer at the end in case you can't). :)

And then yesterday was Halloween. Jim was a good sport in letting me dress him up, but I think he actually had more fun with it than me!
We went to a city sponsored Halloween event in a local park, BUT as it turned out, we only ended up staying for about 15 minutes because my feet were KILLING me in spiked high heel boots and there wasn't really anything to do since Dixie is too young to walk, talk, or eat candy. :) But we did stay long enough to have her and Jim stand in line for the 0-1 year old costume contest. Not that we expected her to win, but she's just so darn cute and it just seemed like a "first Halloween" thing to do. But anyway, after that we just ended up going home, ordering pizza, and passing out candy to the neiborhood kids. It was a fun night... especially when Jim would answer the door real fast and say "AAARRrrgh! Who be knockin' on me door!" and scare the kids. :) Well, hope your Halloweens were just as fun. Here are some more pics. Love ya!

P.S. It's Bill Cosby

HOW FUN! Your little kid is just so cute. I'm VERY impressed with the pumpkins by the way - Bill Cosby is pretty darn cool. BTW Deb, I love reading those emails that you forward on. Everytime I read them I just want to scream "I LOVE BEING A REPUBLICAN!!!!" It gets me politically zinged. Anyway, great post, can't wait to see you guys!
(OH PS - clarification on the pumpkin patch comment - I haven't been to a pumpkin patch ever, but I accidentally posted that under Matt's name :)
Jim makes a good-looking pirate! I can imagine him scaring those poor little trick-or-treaters. And Dixie just gets cuter and cuter! I am so excited to fly out there in a few more weeks! Awesome pumpkins...I have to admit, I couldn't place my thumb on who it was until you told me...but still an awesome carving...loved the crazy bat too:)
Love you guys!
totally adorable! You guys are such a cute family:) i can't wait to see you in two months:) yay for the holidays.
You guys look great!!! I love the pumpkin and I could totally tell who it was. I can't wait to see you guys at Christmas time!
Okay, tell me the secret - how did you get a face like Bill Cosby's, on the pumpkin??? To get it to glow like that????
Your family is so adorable. I hope you guys are doing well.
Nice job Jim on the pumkin! I must say you were a very realistic pirate too! I totally laughed when Deb mentioned how you opened the door to the trick-or-treaters.
We were all pirates too though Steve's costume I didn't work all the kinks out of and he looked a little more like a cowboy, so he kept it on only long enough for pictures. Deb I did the bat picture on my pumpkin to. I totally opted for the easier one since I had THREE pumkins to carve!
