Recently Jim did a fundraiser with the scouts cooking beef briskets and making BBQ sandwiches. It went really well, and when all was said and done we had a bunch of leftover buns. So we figured it would be tons of fun to take Dixie to a local park to feed the ducks. :) This was actually the second time we've taken her (the first time we neglected to bring the camera-doh!). But it was a lot of fun. Dixie caught on to the part where you tear the bread apart, but then neglected to catch on to the idea that you throw it to the ducks. Instead she took great joy in feeding it to herself. :) Good thing it wasn't old, moldy bread, huh? :)

Oh my gosh I love the pigtails!!! How cute:) How fun to feed the ducks. Did you ever go to the duck pond by our house? I loved doing that (except for the geese that would eat your hand in the process of stealing your bread:) Good times.
I am sure she needed the penicillin boost, right??? What she doesn't know won't hurt her...:)
Shae was just looking at your blog and said, "he is still "big sexy." We miss you guys. Hope all is well!
What a cute family you are...the state environmentalists closed off access to feeding the ducks down the road from us...we were obviously making the ducks dependent on humans for feeding! I miss not being able to take the grandkids there. Got to love those environmentalists who seem to know what's good for everyone and everything!:-)
Miss you guys!
I can't believe they closed off the duck feeding park in Carlsbad - what has this world come to???? What was their reasoning?
Hey jim, those are big ducks, glad you didn't show where they all ended up when the cameras weren't rollin.' aka la nevera...that's why the environmentalists close 'em...
Yo Debs!
Where have you been?? Other than feeding the ducks and your cute kiddo!
We need to get together one of these days.
Talk to you soon-
Shawn
