Older And Wider

And no, that's not a typo in the title... I turned 30 years old yesterday and don't feel the least bit smarter for it. I DO, however, feel a bit larger than when I turned 29. :) Ah, yes... perhaps being 8 1/2 months pregnant has something to do with it. Then again, it could be that blasted donut I just ate. :) Either way, I'm feeling older and wider. :) 

30 years old. Where does the time go? How did I get here? What do I have to show for all my years? Well, I don't have the time or energy to post all of that (nor do I necessarily wish to share it all with the blogging world), but my two favorite things I have to show for all my years thus far are as follows:

Jim and Dixie

They are my greatest joys in life. What a blessing they are to me. And soon we will add  another one to the mix and I know I will be equally grateful for that one as well (once the sleep deprivation has subsided). :) 

One other thing I've been enjoying lately... my mom saved a few of my dresses that she had made for me from when I was little, and Dixie has reached the age where she mostly fits into them now. So I've gotten to put her in a few and it has been such a sweet moment for me to see her, quite literally looking like a "mini-me", and to know that she is mine. All Mine. Forever. Thanks for saving these, Mom! I have one other one that I haven't put her in yet, but I'll be sure to post it when I do. :) 

Anyway, I hope you're all enjoying the holidays still. It's been such a great break for our family. And we wish you all a Happy New Year as well!
