A New Day Has Dawned

Life on the home front has started to settle into somewhat of a predictable pattern with the new little baby... And by "predictable pattern" I mostly mean that I can predict that each new day will be nothing like the one before. :) Actually though, Summer is doing pretty good lately. She only has about one fussy time each day (and other than that she's an ANGEL), she's getting better at sleeping longer at night, and she's just so darn cute. I feel like I'm getting much more adjusted to the new life, and most importantly, Dixie has also started to adjust to having a new sister in the house. So all in all, life is good.
The other transition we've had to make is that Jim has a new position at work. He got laid off from work about two weeks ago when the "big boss" in the company decided to eliminate his position (talk about perfect timing with the post-pregnancy hormones!). Davy (his brother and boss here in Texas) fought to keep Jim in the company and just move him to a new position. So Jim is now a land consultant (in sales) and it's a strictly commission job. We are so grateful that his unemployment time was short, but we're still in transition mode since there is no longer a steady paycheck coming in. Fortunately we have a good savings to survive on and our food storage ('We Thank Thee, O God, For a Prophet') until he can get going in the new job and start making some sales. But like I said... Life is good and we are a happy bunch. :)
Anyway, here are some pictures of what we've been up to for the past month while I've pretty much been MIA...

Such a cute big sister!

Dixie loves to give Summer kisses and say "Hi Summer"

I love the new pictures. Both your girls are just beautiful. I'm glad Jim was able to get a good position. You're a great example of food storage. You inspired us last year to get going!
Well, glad things are going a little more smoother. We'll for sure see ya'll this summer. 4 more months baby!
