Dixie had her first real success with the potty today!! Holy Cow! For the past little while she's been coming up to either me or Jim and patting her diaper and saying "di-pa" ("diaper" in Dixie language) when she's either wet or stinky. When she does that we'll ask her if she needs to go potty. And even if she's already done the deed, we'll sometimes take her to the potty and let her sit on it and then give her a piece of candy for sitting on the toilet. Well, today, she came to me and patted her little bum and said "di-pa" and I asked her if she needed to go potty (not thinking she could already need a diaper change since I'd just changed her recently). So I did a quick check in the diaper, and lo and behold, she hadn't already gone poopy, but I could tell she was about to! So I hustled her on over to the potty and let her sit for a bit... and ta-da!! SUCCESS! I am so proud of her! I know we're still a long way from being truly potty-trained, but what a big step in the right direction today was. Good job, Dixie, good job.
P.S. Do you like our little training potty? It plays a little triumphant tune when you go potty in it. Super cool. :) It's fit for a princess to sit on her throne. Get it?! The throne?! ...I kill me. :)

smart girl~ she is so young for giving that a whirl. hopefully she's just a early learner. definitely would help you with 2 littles=)
Oh Debbie Debbie...you ARE so funny. You crack me up. But I do remember the triumph of the 'throne'. Just wait until they learn how to drive!!
Wahoo...THAT's a big milestone to reach in the quest for greater independence. Congrats Dixie Jean!
Love you so much!!
Wow. That is super impressive. What a relief for you. You won't have to have two in diapers anymore. YAY Dixie:) What a big girl!!!
congratulations! It is so much easier to potty train girl number two, I tell ya. Just hang in there and always have an extra pair of skivvies in your purse, you might need 'em!

Oh Debbie, it's nice to see you still have your wonderful sense of humor (wonderful = cheesy, of course!)
