Party Hearty

Since Dixie's birthday was on a Sunday, we celebrated and partied on Saturday. We invited a few family friends and took the whole gang to none other than... CHUCK E. CHEESE'S! :) I don't think I've been there since I  was about 10 years old. But it was fun. Dixie had tons o fun... especially once she warmed up to the idea that we were going to let her do just about anything she wanted. :)

...Where a kid can be a kid!

"I SO know what I'm doing!"

"This driving stuff is easy ...if only I could see over the wheel!"

Daddy had some 'virtual' fun too! :)

"Ha. And they think you need to be 16 to do this?!"

This is what Dixie enjoyed doing most... just sticking the tokens in the slots. You know what they say... simple minds, simple pleasures. ;)

And then it was home for cake and ice cream...
A cake for our little princess...

Blowing out the candles...

And she actually blew them both out on her first try! Way to go Dixie!

Ta-da!

And now for the presents...
beads...
and bubbles. There can never be too many. :)

You're so loved, little birthday girl.

And here's Dixie on her actual birthday...

Just about the cutest little thing I've ever seen.
We love you Dixie! Happy Birthday!
