Dixie gave her first talk in Primary today! My little girl is getting so big!!
The topic was: The Scriptures Teach of Heavenly Father's Plan.
This was her talk:
The scriptures teach us that Heavenly Father’s plan is a plan of happiness. His plan for us includes our being kind.
The Apostle Paul said, “And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you” (Ephesians 4:32).
As we look for opportunities or chances to be kind, we are promised that we will be happy. I hope we will all try to be kind so we can follow Heavenly Father’s Plan and be happy.
She did such a good job. It was a little hard to hear her I'm sure, because the microphone wasn't working and she was a tad bit timid. But by the time she was finishing up, she was gaining more confidence and speaking out more. It was so cute. :)
Oh, and funny story about Saturday... we were practicing her talk, so I got her stuffed animals and dolls and lined them up on the couch and had her face them while we rehearsed her talk. She looked at the toys and asked, "Are these boys and girls?" I said yes they were. She said, "Oh," and then looked at them all and said "Okay now boys and girls" (like a teacher trying to get her classes attention). It was so funny. I just started laughing and Dixie started laughing... ah... good memories. :)
Anyway, good job Dixie on a job well done! Loves.
