Reap What You Sew

Ha. I guess that title actually has dual meaning for me right now (as I am in the midst of sewing some matching skirts for me and the girls for my brother's wedding), but I am actually referring to our awesome garden that is beginning to produce. We've already been growing and harvesting lettuce and banana peppers for a while now, and the lettuce finally turned bitter (due to the heat) so we pulled it up and just planted some zucchini in its place. But now we are finally getting some production out of our beans, cucumbers, bell peppers, and even a few carrots! Our tomatoes are still green, but are coming along nicely and we've even got some watermelons growing! This is by far the best our garden has ever done! We're so excited!
And yes... those "green" beans are actually purple! Such a cool variety that I ordered online! It makes beans a whole lot more fun! :) And the best part is, if you cook them, they turn green! Ha! Magic Beans!
Mmm! Nothing beats fresh carrots straight from the garden (with a little ranch dressing, of course.) :)
Happy Gardening!
