For Thanksgiving this year we headed out west to Davy's ranch. We had just about the entire Roberts clan there, and it was a lot of fun. The men/boys enjoyed going out hunting just about every morning and evening (Jim got a deer and we spent this past Wednesday night processing and packaging that until sometime past midnight! :))... the kids had fun running around in the wide open spaces... and I enjoyed a break from computers, cell phones, and the busyness of a city life. It was so nice and relaxing. A quiet country experience. We were out there from Thursday to Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. (Granted, Summer was asking to go home at some point every day... that girl is definitely one who likes the comfort of her own home and familiar surroundings.) :)
Anyway, a HUGE thanks to Davy and Shannon for hosting the whole clan and putting up with a little insanity for the sake of some wonderful family memories. :)
Two cuties enjoying the cool, fresh air...
Cousins (well, except for one)...
Off on a nature walk adventure...
"Look mom! Sticks are part of nature..."
"...and rocks are part of nature..." (the girls had fun pointing out all the different things that are a part of nature)
Time for a s'mores break...
Or maybe just a marshmallow break... :)
Fun cousin bonding...
Seriously? Who gave that girl a license??
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
