I cannot believe I'm already at the 36 week mark in this pregnancy!! In just ONE WEEK this little guy will be considered 'full term'! Summer came two weeks early (on her own!) and if this little guy decided to follow suit, we would have him here in just a short TWO WEEKS! I'm not banking on that this time around, but I am thinking we won't be waiting a full four weeks before he makes his debut.
According to BabyCenter, this little fella is probably about 5 1/2 lbs (I had an ultrasound on Thursday that estimated him at about 5 lbs 4 oz at the time, and he should be gaining about 1 oz per day at this point). My OB thinks he'll be about 6 1/2 lbs when he's born. Sweet! I can do 6 1/2 lbs. :)
At this point, I'm still feeling pretty good. I've definitely noticed a decrease in energy, along with with increase in uncomfortableness, but it's still fine. Eating is more of a chore than a pleasure at this point... unless it's ice cream or fruit and yogurt parfaits! :) But most days I definitely don't have a desire to cook anything substantial (poor Jim) and prefer to just snack through the day instead. Sleep is increasingly illusive due to frequent potty breaks, baby hiccups, and general uneasiness, but oh well. It's not like I'm going to be getting MORE sleep after the baby is born, so I'm just learning to deal with the zombie phase again and trying not to be any more cranky or unpleasant than I need to be. Haha! :)
But we're all just plugging away at life and trying to get ourselves used to the idea that in just a few weeks we'll be changing diapers again. (ugh!! Have I mentioned that I have LOVED not having to change diapers for the past 6 months or so??) However, Dixie is SURE that she will be able to handle all the diaper changing (she's been practicing on Summer- they like to play "baby"... Summer being the baby), so I'm gonna try to hold her to that. :) So anyway, that's the latest of life and living on our end.
Oh and hey, I'll try to post some pictures soon of the two newest additions to our family. We call them "Big Red" and "Little Blue"... and no they're not people, they're our new cars. :)
Hope you're all doing well and lovin' life!
