HOLY MOLY!!! I can't believe we're already at this point! Technically, I still have 2 weeks and a 3 days until my due date, but I have already put my 'people to call' (the ones I call in case I go into labor and need someone to watch the girls) on official standby! I had a dr. appointment yesterday and am basically dilated to 2 cm and about 70% effaced. When I was pregnant with Summer, this is about the point where the dr told me he'd be surprised if I made it through the weekend... and sure enough, my water broke that Saturday morning and Summer Anne was on her way 2 weeks early from her due date.
So here I am, two weeks early again, dilating, effacing, and I believe I just passed my mucus plug this morning (sorry for the gross details). The mucus plug is what really sent me into a 'WOAH! THIS COULD HAPPEN ANY DAY NOW!' bit of panic. (Not that yesterday's news didn't have me in shock and a big feeling of 'I'm not prepared!') So I'm trying to keep my nerves calm and take everything one step at a time... S-L-O-W-L-Y. :)
Don't get me wrong... I'm totally anxious to have this baby come join our family, and with the level of uncomfortableness I'm in, I'd be happy to have it be today! But my mom won't be out here until a week from today at the earliest, so I'm trying to hold this baby in for as close to that date as possible. :) Yes, we have so many friends and family that are ready to fill in until she gets here, and for that I feel truly blessed and thankful! But it's just not the same as having your own mom here. So I'm hoping this baby can hang in there a few more days. But I'm not holding my breath at this point. :)
Other than all that, I'm feeling pretty good. I'm totally paranoid of my water breaking in one big gush in some public place, so I'll be trying to avoid those as much as possible for a while... although my 'to do' list doesn't really allow for that completely. Maybe I'll start wearing some Depends... just in case. Haha! (You think I'm joking!) :)
But anyway, I'll try to keep y'all posted! YOU are officially on standby as well! :)

AGH!!! I have to finish your baby present so I can send it with mom! Ok, on my to-do list for tomorrow! Yikes. so exciting!!!
So were you wearing a diaper when we saw you Sunday? lol :) I can't believe you came, you guys are amazing. Hope you are doing well. And by the way, you looked beautiful. Seriously! Hugs.
