Austin: 3 Months
What a little sweetheart we have been blessed with in our family. Austin is seriously the sweetest, cutest little man.
I absolutely love and look forward to our morning 'conversations'. It doesn't matter how rough of a night it has been and how exhausted my body is... come morning time when he is awake and alert, I can always get the most precious smiles from him while he sits there and coos and gurgles at me. It just melts my heart.
Little Man, you are still sleeping in short chunks at night. Your longest chunk of sleep is usually about 4 hours and occurs at the very beginning of the night (around 8 pm), so unless I go to bed right when I put you down too, I'm generally guaranteed very little sleep for the night. It definitely makes for some tiring nights.
You love to smile. You LOVE to rock. You adore your swing and often prefer it to being held in my arms (since I'm not always rocking).
You're not on any kind of schedule per se, but you still have fairly predictable patterns. You are generally awake by around 6 in the morning. You'll take some short naps in the morning, and then generally take a long nap in the early afternoon.
You like to eat and I'm pretty sure you are just as anxious as me to start getting people food (which we plan on starting you on at the end of this month). :) You seem to have a sixth sense for whenever we are about to eat dinner because as soon as we sit down to the table you start to fuss and Mommy or Daddy usually has to hold you and take turns eating.
You are growing, growing, growing! At your 2 month dr appt you were 12 lbs 6.5 oz and 23.5 inches long. The doc was amazed at your weight progress. You jumped from being in about the 5th percentile at birth to being in the 66th percentile. I don't have a 3 month weight update, but I'm sure you're just trucking right along, and my arms are definitely starting to feel it! :)
Your eyes are still blue and your hair is still red (although with some blonder patches... still not sure which way that's going to go). And you still favor your daddy in your looks.
Your sisters love you to pieces and consider it one of their great joys when they get you to smile at them and engage in a little chit chat. :)
You are loved and adored by all who meet you. We are so grateful to have you in our lives. Love you!!
