Balding

Things are so crazy around here that I've literally started losing my hair over the insanity. Okay okay... that's not true. The real reason is that I've finally reached the point of postpartum where I'm shedding all that hair that stuck around during pregnancy, but it seriously feels like I'm going bald! Good grief! With both my previous kids this phase happened quite quickly after giving birth, so I was actually starting to think I'd skipped this phase this time around. But no such luck. Luckily I whacked all my hair off a week and a half ago anyway, so at least it doesn't look so thin and stringy while it's all falling out. :)
And speaking of whacking my hair off (sorry, no pictures yet), Jim was so upset about it that he actually had to leave me for a week to cope with the drastic change. He CLAIMS he had to go to scout camp for a week, but I know better. :) jk. The hair cut definitely took us both by surprise (was way shorter than I had asked it to be), but it's still fun and I actually like it. It reminds me of Rapunzel in the movie Tangled at the end when Eugene chops her hair off and it's all short and spunky. But yes... Jim definitely had to adjust... especially since I didn't go blonde this time. I just kept it my natural color (all my previous bottle-blondness got chopped off in the hair cutting process). So it was a double whammy for him. :) But I think he's adjusted now. :)
Thank goodness hair is superficial and grows back, right? :)
