Well, back at the end of January Jim was honored with being nominated for the First Year Teacher of the Year Award at his school. There were 6 teachers nominated (all first year teachers).
And guess who won? You KNOW it was the rockstar fabulous Rookie of the Year, Coach Roberts! :)
Way to go Honey! You truly have found your niche in life, and we are so blessed for it. Love you. :)
And Dixie was also honored with being recommended for taking a certain test that determines if a student will be placed in the Gifted and Talented classes. Not just anyone can take it... they have to be recommended for it. So we were pleased that she was recommended. :)
Well, she ended up missing the level needed to advance by JUST BARELY, but we were sure proud of her for doing her best. We'll be looking into having her tested again next year, or however the process works. She really is a bright little cookie and a super smarty to boot. :)
