Well, we took Dixie's crib down today. It was time. She's coming up on 3 years old now and still sleeping in her crib. She loves sleeping in it. At night we give her the option, "Dixie, do you want to sleep in the crib or the big-girl bed?" And she always says "crib". She's slept in the 'big-girl bed' a couple times, so we know she can do it just fine. It's more of just a security thing, I think. :) But it's time to move on. So we figured the best thing to do would be to just take the crib down so there wasn't even the option. And yes, it worked like a charm. She went to bed tonight in the big-girl bed without a squawk or squeal. All was well. No big deal. But I have to admit... a part of me was really sad at having put the crib away. My little baby is getting all grown up. And only yesterday, it seems, we were setting the crib up to get ready for our first little angel from heaven. *sniffle* How quickly the time flies.

Cute picture! I understand what you mean. We have already fixed up Grant's new big boy room for when he makes the transition...hopefully by the end of the summer.
Oh. What a big event. No longer a baby in any way. Tear. She is growing up so fast. Does it make you baby hungry? :) Ps the ice cream holders are from WalMart or you can find them at Bed Bath and Beyond for way more. They are obviously seasonal, but they should be out by now:) Love you.
Ahh...our little Dixie is all grown up now. Cute memory picture of you prego with her. We're looking forward to Conference as well..."We thank Thee, O God, for a prophet to guide us in these [troubling] days."
ahhh...so sweet! but I'm a little perplexed...where has summer been sleeping this whole time?? :)
