Another day of our Countdown Activities was to 'Write Letters to Santa'. So Mommy and Daddy helped the girls tell Santa about the good things they've been doing, and then, of course, the things they would like for Christmas this year (and Dixie actually wrote that part herself... with help from Mommy telling her what letters to use). :) What made the list? Roller skates! (including all the safety gear: helmet, knee pads, and elbow pads.) And boy do they know they have to be extra good if they want Santa to bring these things (although Summer forgets a whole lot more regularly than Dixie!) :)
And then, I taught them what my dad taught us as kids: that the fastest way to get these letters to Santa is to burn them in the fireplace (although we did ours outside on the driveway) and for the ashes and smoke to fly up to the North Pole for Santa to get. (It magically turns back into a letter once it gets to the North Pole so Santa can read it.) :)
Well girls, we'll see if Santa can fill your request! :)
